Our adjustments push the boundaries of performance, efficiency and lightweight construction to better handle today's more demanding XC courses. The Epic 8's new kinematics make it the most pedal-efficient bike we've ever created, while the shocks absorb bumps better than ever with bespoke settings. The new Epic 8 represents a significant evolution in speed.

EXCEPTIONALLY POWERFUL: The Epic 8 is considered the most powerful 120 mm bike on the market. Its progressive geometry excels on technical terrain, ensures rapid acceleration and impresses with efficiency on climbs. The extremely high torsional rigidity of the frame ensures extremely precise handling.

FACTORY SHOCK TUNING: The Specialized Ride Dynamics team tunes every shock on our best mountain bikes, including the Epic 8, with custom tuning. By perfecting the interaction of shock, leverage ratios and kinematics, we create a mountain bike that performs better as an integrated unit than the sum of its parts.
HARMONY OF MAN AND MACHINE: Thanks to the optimized kinematics of the chassis, our Ride Dynamics team was able to reduce pedaling-induced bobbing by a full 20%. The suspension remains active while riders remain in the optimal position for maximum pedaling efficiency. Of the full-suspension mountain bikes we tested, the Epic 8 is the most efficient when pedaling.
