Cannondale Scalpel Crb 3 Gunmetal Green 2024
Hold on Tight
Pure thrill. With its advanced XC chassis, revised geometry and trail-ready equipment, the new Scalpel once again sets standards in terms of XC speed.
model description
Fast, light and capable on XC courses or technical trails - the Scalpel 3 is full throttle. The frame is made of our advanced Series 1 carbon. A Shimano XT/Deore 12-speed groupset takes care of gear changes, while the RockShox SID Select suspension irons out bumps with seemingly no effort. Lightweight Stan's NoTubes Crest MK4 rims round off the overall package.
What it is made for
The fascination of speed. Victories in XC and marathon races. High speed on the trail.
highlights
- Super-light frame made of high-quality Series 1 carbon with FlexPivot chainstays, 120 mm travel and Proportional Response chassis and geometry
- Lightweight RockShox SID Select 120mm suspension fork and a SIDLuxe Select+ shock with a TwistLoc remote lockout.
- Shimano's race-ready XT/Deore M6100 12-speed groupset.
- Powerful, easy-to-control Shimano Deore M6100 hydraulic disc brakes
- Stan's tubeless-ready Crest Mk4 rims with Maxxis Rekon Race and Aspen WT 2.4” tires
- Cannondales DownLow Vario seat post
Magic Chassis
Not just more travel, but better travel. Thanks to the magic of our FlexPivot kinematics and Proportional Response suspension, the Scalpel's 120 mm travel delivers unprecedented traction, more control and lots of riding fun - coupled with the efficiency and dynamics you'd expect from a World Cup race bike.
Devilishly fast
Geometry is the key to maximum speed, and the Scalpel is not only razor sharp, it's also extremely fast. It features a slack 66.6° head angle, a steep 75.5° seat angle, and size-specific chainstays that get longer on larger frames to help riders of all sizes find a central position between the wheels. The result? More propulsion and traction on climbs, better control in corners, and unprecedented confidence at high speeds.
The Magic of Speed
This is not magic. It is the result of a pure, targeted design philosophy. Every element of the Scalpel is primarily determined by function - kinematics, weight, stiffness and performance. The features determine the form, and not the form the features. And fast also looks good.
