Orbea was founded in 1840, though it was a weapons company at the time. They have been manufacturing bicycles since 1931. The brand's factory is located in Mallabia, in the Basque Country, near the city of Bilbao. This is where all frames are painted by hand and where the aluminum frames are produced. Orbea manufactures the frames by hand, which is why no weld seams are truly visible, resulting in a clean design. Furthermore, you receive a lifetime warranty on the frame from Orbea. However, these must be registered on the Orbea website by the original purchaser within 30 days (code located under the down tube). Additionally, for all bikes from the 2022 model year onwards, there is a ten-year availability of spare parts.

Orbea is at the forefront of bicycle innovation, a feature that makes the brand attractive to enthusiasts and professional cyclists alike. By consistently incorporating the latest technologies into their bikes, such as advanced carbon frame construction and integrated systems for improved aerodynamics, Orbea sets the standard in the industry. These technological advances allow riders to maximize their performance, whether on challenging climbs or rapid descents. These bikes are particularly suitable for riders who value precision, speed and efficiency and want to take advantage of the latest developments in cycling.

The Orbea Team models and the brand's standard models differ in several key aspects that are important for both amateur and professional cyclists. First of all, the Team models are often equipped with higher quality components, making them lighter, faster and more responsive. These improvements usually include better wheels, more precise groupsets and more advanced materials in the frame construction, such as the highest quality carbon.

Another difference is in the geometry: the Team models are often designed to allow for a more aggressive riding position, resulting in improved aerodynamics and performance, but this can be less comfortable for average riders. In addition, Team models often feature the colors and designs of the professional cycling teams that Orbea sponsors, which visually distinguishes them from the standard models.

Orbea is committed to the principle of sustainability, an aspect that is of great importance to many consumers in today's world. The brand strives to use environmentally friendly production processes and sustainable materials to minimize the environmental footprint of its bikes. This commitment to sustainability particularly appeals to environmentally conscious riders who are looking for a high-quality bike that not only meets their performance needs but is also in line with their values. Orbea bikes are therefore ideal for those who want to combine their passion for cycling with a conscious lifestyle.
