The choice of the right tires depends on the intended use. Wide tires with a coarse profile offer more grip on the terrain, while narrower tires are more efficient on paved paths. The wheel size also has to be differentiated; 29" tires offer more smoothness and speed, while 27.5" tires bring significantly more agility and playfulness. A mix of 27.5" at the rear and 29" at the front is called a "mullet" and combines the best of both worlds.
