The price range for MTB full-face helmets is also surprisingly large in our Liquid-Life online shop! Everything from €70 to €400 is included. Why is that? Are cheap helmets no good or are the high-end models from the Downhill World Cup grossly overpriced? It's similar to mountain bikes: you can have the fun of your life on a cheap hardtail . It's just heavier and the attachments are of lesser quality. Full-face helmets usually have a hard outer shell made of carbon, fiberglass or polycarbonate. Inside a full-face helmet, a second shell made of EPS foam is responsible for the best cushioning and absorption of impact energy. Specially designed ventilation channels ensure sufficient cooling of the head. There is enough space in the field of vision to allow goggles to be worn. MTB full-face helmets with carbon or MIPS technology certainly offer more thanks to the most modern technologies and materials, so the prices are of course higher. However, bicycle helmets are wearing parts, so kids in particular have to make sure that they can find cheap full-face helmets. However, we strongly advise against buying used, as you cannot check what the part had to endure in its first life.

An MTB full-face helmet can be a visual statement with its motocross style or just fit well in terms of head shape. Wearing comfort should play a decisive role in the purchase decision! A secure seat without wobbling is essential for the safety of the whole thing on the mountain bike . However, your face or forehead should not be crushed. Since head shapes vary greatly from person to person, you have to test out different models and brands. Similarly, when it comes to choosing the right saddle , this is the best way to avoid making bad purchases. Graphical details can still be influenced after purchase using graphics or stickers.

When it comes to clothing , it is always a question of where to get the right equipment or fashion items. The advantage of trying on MTB full-face helmets is that you can test directly on site whether the model fits perfectly or is too tight. However, there are few bike shops with a good range; online shops are generally better positioned. So again an individual decision, as it depends very much on the area where you live. In larger cities, niche or large local stores certainly have enough full-face helmets in their range, but if you live in the country this becomes more difficult and works better online. You can try on helmets in bike parks if you rent one anyway.
