SECURE: The Vado has an integrated anti-theft lock. Potential bike thieves are deterred by deactivating the motor at the touch of a button. This means that no one can start the motor without a connection to the Specialized app or your personal PIN. The Vado's battery can either be locked in the bike or simply taken with you. And if someone tries to move your bike, an alarm sounds. Beware, thieves!
The speed limit at which the motor stops assisting can vary considerably by region and is governed by local regulations. This can also affect the range: a higher speed limit can result in a lower range.
