Drawing on all the experience gained since the launch of the Rise, Orbea presents a completely redesigned and optimized 360-watt-hour battery. Weighing in at 1.8 kilograms, it's a full 300 grams lighter than its predecessor. This contributes to the Rise M LTD's breathtakingly light weight of 15.9 kilograms.
The new battery is based on 21,700 mAh cells with improved charging and discharging characteristics and enhanced heat management. Not only is the new battery more compact than its predecessor, but it also now features integrated mounting points for installation in the frame. This saves a few more grams and improves weight distribution within the frame, which in turn has a positive effect on natural handling.
This 360-watt-hour battery also fits the current aluminum Rise models. The perfect choice for anyone who wants the ultimate RS experience at a more affordable price.
But that's not all. All new carbon Rise models are also compatible with the 540-watt-hour battery that was introduced last year with the aluminum version of the bike. And this is without compromising the clean and integrated look so typical of this bike. The carbon Rise models come standard with the 360-watt-hour battery.
For those seeking the best handling and the ultimate RS experience, the 360-watt-hour battery is the right choice. However, those looking for longer adventures with greater range should opt for the larger 540-watt-hour battery.
For really long rides, the range extender with its additional 252 watt-hours is ready to go. Whether you choose the carbon or aluminum model, the Rise offers up to 792 watt-hours with the range extender. Thanks to the bike's excellent energy management, you'd have to ride for quite a while to push this battery to its limits.
Whether carbon or aluminum: The 2023 Rise models use the same electronic interfaces. This means they can use the same range extenders and fast chargers. For example, the carbon Rise can now be charged with a charging current of 4 amps, while the range extender is charged with 2 amps.
