NEXT CHAPTER. LEAVE THE VALLEY BEHIND.
The name ALTO has been part of our road bike range since 2018. ALTO, a modified Italian/Spanish word meaning "to reach for the stars," is intended to reflect the bike's heritage as a mountain goat. Along with our third participation in the Tour de France, we also presented the third iteration of the REVELATOR ALTO. During its development, we incorporated feedback from our professional riders and lessons learned from the world's toughest cycling races. Furthermore, the new ALTO frame underwent the most rigorous testing in KTM's history.
Even the pre-production prototypes were sent to the "Hell of the North" and received their baptism of fire on the cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix. Simultaneously, the perfect aerodynamics were fine-tuned in the wind tunnel. The final results confirm both the ideal climbing characteristics and the low air resistance of the ALTOS in black and white. French climbing specialist Pierre Rolland immediately rode the new ALTOS frame to victory, securing the King of the Mountains jersey at the Critérium du Dauphiné. The journey of the first production frames led from Mattighofen, via Copenhagen, all the way to the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The frames of the Tour de France professionals are now available in various models, ready for you to use.
