The Acid 240's frame is made from the same heat-treated 6061 aluminum tubing as our adult mountain bikes, so it's just as strong and sturdy. However, we have adjusted its proportions and weight to meet the needs of children. In addition, mudguards can be mounted - and a bottle cage, so that the kids are always sufficiently supplied with liquid on the road. Thanks to the good handling, designed for high riding fun, the youngsters fill up with lots of self-confidence. And because accidents can't always be avoided, we've opted for an easily replaceable derailleur hanger, which saves costly repairs after a fall or impact.

Simplicity can also be a virtue. We listened carefully to what aspiring young mountain bikers really want from their bike - light weight, safe handling, reliable components - and based our development of the Acid 240 SL on these principles. The result is a bike with a lightweight aluminum fork, light, easy-to-use rim brakes and a wide-range 9-speed gearing system that makes it easy to tackle even the steepest climbs. In addition, there is a slimmer handlebar with grips that even small children's hands can optimally embrace and keep the bike safely on course on all trails
