With its classic aesthetic, high-quality construction, and high level of comfort, the Torch 3.0 isn't far behind the S-Works shoe. Just like the S-Works Torch, it features a unidirectional carbon sole, two BOA® dials, and a one-piece upper. This makes the Torch 3.0 an efficient, comfortable, and reliable performance shoe on all roads.
BODY GEOMETRY TECHNOLOGY: Unfortunately, the human body was designed for walking, not cycling. Riders often pay for this evolutionary error with foot, knee, and hip misalignments, as well as discomfort. We solve these problems with Body Geometry technology. The Toch 3.0 features our varus wedge, longitudinal arch support, and metatarsal pad. Thanks to optimal alignment of your legs and feet and unhindered circulation, you can increase your performance pain-free. This has been proven by two decades of Retül testing.
CARBON SOLES: The Torch 3.0 features a unidirectional carbon sole. Unidirectional means that the focus is on one direction of stiffness, specifically geared toward performance. At the same time, material and weight are saved. The sole gives the Torch 3.0 a sleek and clean look and, more importantly, efficient power transfer like its S-Works counterpart. Large rubber surfaces on the front of the sole and heel provide plenty of grip when transitioning from the bike to the café, making life easier in so many ways: getting on and off, stopping at traffic lights, and clipping in.
COMFORT: The key to comfortable shoes lies in the construction. Stiffness appropriate to the requirements, coupled with adjustable fit and a supple upper, are the recipe for maximum comfort. And with the unidirectional carbon sole, mesh fabric, and BOA® system, our Torch 3.0 fits perfectly – like in a fairytale.
- Soles and insoles with Body Geometry technology are ergonomically designed and scientifically proven – for more performance, greater efficiency and a lower risk of injury due to the optimal alignment of hips, knees and feet.
- Unidirectional carbon soles are extremely stiff and lightweight, and large rubber surfaces at the front and back provide sufficient grip when walking.
- Two BOA® Li2 dials can be adjusted in both directions and have a quick-release function.
- Seamless mesh fabric made of thermoplastic polyurethane is reinforced in key areas and offers maximum support and comfort.
- Internal heel caps provide plenty of support and securely enclose the heels.
- The pedal plate mount has three threaded inserts and is therefore compatible with all conventional racing bike pedals.
- A shoe in size 42 weighs approximately 288 grams.
