With its classic aesthetics, premium construction, and exceptional comfort, the Torch 3.0 comes very close to matching the S-Works Torch. Just like the S-Works Torch, it features a unidirectional carbon sole, dual BOA® dial closures, and a one-piece upper. This makes the Torch 3.0 an efficient, comfortable, and reliable performance shoe for any road.
BODY GEOMETRY TECHNOLOGY: The human body is unfortunately designed for walking, not cycling. Riders often pay the price for this evolutionary oversight with misalignments of the feet, knees, and hips, as well as discomfort. We solve these problems with Body Geometry technology. The Touch 3.0 therefore features our Varus Wedge, longitudinal arch support, and metatarsal padding. Thanks to the optimal alignment of your legs and feet, and unimpeded blood flow, you can improve your performance pain-free. This has been proven by two decades of Retül testing.
CARBON SOLES: The Torch 3.0 features a unidirectional carbon sole. Unidirectional means that stiffness is concentrated in one direction and specifically designed for performance. This also saves material and weight. The sole gives the Torch 3.0 its sleek and clean look and, more importantly, like its S-Works counterpart, efficient power transfer. Large rubber surfaces at the front of the sole and on the heel provide plenty of grip when transitioning from bike to café, making life easier in so many ways: getting on and off the bike, stopping at traffic lights, and clipping in.
COMFORT: The key to comfortable shoes lies in their construction. Appropriate stiffness combined with adjustable fit and a supple upper is the recipe for maximum comfort. And with its unidirectional carbon sole, mesh upper, and BOA® system, our Torch 3.0 fits perfectly – like something out of a fairy tale.
- Insoles and orthotics with Body Geometry technology are ergonomically designed and scientifically proven – for more performance, higher efficiency and reduced risk of injury due to the optimal alignment of hips, knees and feet.
- Unidirectional carbon soles are extremely stiff and lightweight, and large rubber surfaces at the front and back provide sufficient grip while walking.
- Each pair of BOA® Li2 twist locks can be adjusted in both directions and has a quick-release function.
- Seamless mesh fabric made of thermoplastic polyurethane is reinforced at key points, providing maximum support and comfort.
- Internal heel cups provide plenty of support and securely enclose the heels.
- The pedal plate mount has three threaded inserts and is therefore compatible with all conventional road bike pedals.
- A shoe in size 42 weighs approximately 288 grams.
