Since the Deore XT group revolutionized the mountain bike world in 1980, it has been synonymous with reliability, durability, and functionality. Over time, it has been continuously optimized and improved, and it continues to be considered a pioneer in the cycling industry. Nevertheless, Shimano managed to take another major leap forward with the Di2 M8200 version. Thanks to modern wireless control, perfect performance, a 12-speed drivetrain, and the customarily excellent build quality, there are no limits to your biking dreams, and you get a loyal companion for your adventures.
The advantages of electronic shifting are obvious. With the push of a button, the chain changes from one sprocket to another in a fraction of a second, regardless of the situation and without any delay or physical effort. The top-class Deore XT Di2 rear derailleur is also synonymous with precision.
In combination with Hyperglide+ cassettes, you experience unprecedented shifting performance, practically without any noise. The further developed Shadow chain stabilization concept, called Shadow ES here, allows for a very slim design and prevents the chain from slapping uncontrollably on rough trails.
The developers paid special attention to robustness. Due to the slim, wedge-shaped design of the rear derailleur, which offers 23 mm more ground clearance, as well as the smooth and resistant surface, the risk of direct impacts is significantly minimized, and objects that hit it simply slide off. If it does happen that small rocks or a root get in the way, the cage can move inward due to the RD Protection function and automatically return to its previous position. This happens so quickly that the rider does not notice it and can continue at full speed. In addition, the enclosed jockey wheels reliably deflect twigs and branches.
The power supply of the rear derailleur is also a small revolution. For the first time, Shimano is using a decentralized battery, which is well-protected inside and can be easily removed for charging.
In addition to all the positive visual and technical features, the low weight will also delight you. This is achieved through clever and refined material selection, dominated by high-quality aluminum.
