Buy Superior bicycles at Liquid-Life
Superior was founded in the Czech Republic in 1993 and is now part of BIKE FUN International. Development and design are based in Kopřivnice. The brand is closely linked to mountain bike racing: racers incorporate their experience from training and competition directly into the development of new models. The result is bicycles with low weight, efficient power transmission, and a simple, clear design.
At Liquid-Life, the Superior range covers three areas of use: road bikes for fast training laps on asphalt, gravel bikes for gravel, long tours, and bikepacking, as well as trekking bikes for commuting and leisure rides.
Begin your selection with the routes you actually ride. Do you want to climb as efficiently as possible on asphalt and ride quickly in a group, are you looking for reserves on gravel, or should the bike primarily be a reliable way to get to work? First, determine this area of use and then compare frames, components, and price. This way, you avoid paying for racing technology that offers little benefit in your everyday life.

Which Superior bike is right for you?

Superior RR – Road bikes for maximum speed
The Superior RR series is aimed at ambitious road cyclists who value low weight, high stiffness, and direct power transfer. All our RR models feature a carbon frame. The sporty geometry is suitable for long training rides, fast group rides, and racing.
The RR 9.4, RR 9.5, and RR 9.6 models share the same frame platform and differ primarily in their components. Therefore, compare the groupset, wheels, and brakes specifically, rather than just looking at the model number. Frame sizes for Superior road bikes are indicated in centimeters.

Superior XR – Gravel bikes for gravel, touring, and bikepacking
The Superior XR series combines speed on asphalt with control on gravel and forest paths. The range extends from the XR 6.3 GR with an aluminum frame to the carbon models XR 9.3 GRA and XR 9.5 GRA.
A concrete example is the XR 9.5 GRA: carbon frame and carbon fork, wireless SRAM Rival XPLR AXS with 13 speeds, DT Swiss G 1800 SPLINE wheels, and 45 mm wide Schwalbe G-One tires. The frame features mounts for mudguards. Superior specifies a weight of 9.1 kg and a maximum system weight of 120 kg. These values apply to this model and cannot be applied generally to every XR.
Therefore, always check tire clearance and equipment on a model-specific basis. For predominantly asphalted loops, an RR is the more direct choice, whereas for regular gravel sections, the XR series is the better fit. If you are planning bikepacking trips, check the mounting points and the permissible system weight (rider, bike, and luggage) before purchasing. Also, decide whether you want to ride with frame bags or a luggage rack. For commuting, clarify which combination of tires and mudguards is intended for your model before retrofitting.

Superior BLOX – Trekking bikes for commuting and leisure
The Superior BLOX series comprises trekking bikes without a motor. They combine an aluminum frame with a more upright touring geometry and are aimed at commuters and recreational riders. The BLOX 6.4 T, for example, is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. The MS versions feature a step-through frame with a lower entry point.
Pay attention to the full model designation: The BLOX is not the same as the electric eBLOX or iBLOX series. For everyday use, you should also include lighting, mudguards, and luggage transport in your comparison and consider the price of the bike in its road-ready configuration.

The manufacturer's range extends beyond road, gravel, and trekking bikes: Superior also builds mountain bikes, e-bikes, as well as children's and youth bikes. The table describes the entire model world of the brand, not the availability at Liquid-Life. You can see which models and sizes we currently carry in the product overview above.
| Model series | Category | Typical application | Suitable for |
|---|---|---|---|
| RR | Road bike | Asphalt, training, racing | Sporty road cyclists focused on speed and efficiency |
| XR (formerly also X-Road) | Gravel bike | Gravel, long tours, bikepacking | Riders looking for drop bars and off-road versatility |
| BLOX | Trekking and City | Commuting, bike paths, leisure tours | Commuters who prefer a more upright riding position |
| XF (Team, RC, TR, DC) | Full-Suspension MTB | From cross-country racing to trails | Riders who want rear suspension for uneven terrain |
| XP and XC | MTB Hardtail | Sporty forest trails, training, cross-country | Riders who prefer a direct ride feel and simple technology |
| eXF, iXF, eXP, iXP, iXR, eBLOX, iBLOX | E-Bike | Off-road, gravel, touring, and everyday use with motor assistance | For riders seeking support on climbs or when carrying luggage |
| F.L.Y., Racer, Team Junior | Children's and youth bike | First tours and sporty family outings | Children and teenagers; height and easily accessible brake levers are decisive |
When searching, you will encounter different model generations, such as older X-Road models alongside the current XR series. Therefore, always compare the complete model designation and the model year instead of relying solely on a known series name.
Superior Mountain Bikes: XF full-suspension or XP hardtail?
The fundamental difference lies in the rear wheel: an XP hardtail has no suspension there, whereas an XF full-suspension bike does. If you primarily train on firm forest paths, a hardtail is the simpler and lighter solution. If your rides include many roots, rock gardens, or long, bumpy descents, it is worth comparing with a full-suspension model.
Within the XF family, the generations differ significantly. Older race full-suspension bikes like the Team XF 29 have 100 mm of travel, while newer race models like the XF 9.6 Team have 120 mm. TR and DC models are designed more for trails and descents: the XF 999 TR, for example, has 140 mm of travel at the fork and 130 mm at the rear triangle. Therefore, read the fork and rear suspension travel separately and check the usage approval of the respective model for bike park visits or jumps.
Superior E-Bikes: classic or light?
Superior offers e-mountain bikes, e-hardtails, e-gravel bikes, as well as touring and city bikes with motors. In addition to classic e-bikes, there are weight-oriented light models, usually recognizable by the "i" prefix. The iXF 9.2, for example, combines a carbon frame with the Bosch Performance Line SX (55 Nm) and a 400 Wh battery. The older eXP 8089 with a Shimano EP8, on the other hand, reaches 85 Nm and has an integrated 504 Wh battery.
Do not compare motors based solely on peak torque. Test starting on a hill and a section with low assistance. Also, do not plan your range based on a flat kilometer value: rider weight, route profile, assistance level, wind, and riding style all influence energy consumption.

What is the price-performance ratio of Superior?
Superior covers several price levels. In the junior segment, the manufacturer's range starts at around 400 euros, while highly equipped full-suspension race bikes and light e-mountain bikes reach about 9,000 to 10,000 euros. A blanket price advantage over all premium brands cannot be derived from this. To determine that, you have to compare comparable bicycles at their actual retail price.
In our Superior range, the BLOX trekking bikes are priced under 1,000 euros RRP, and the aluminum gravel bike XR 6.3 GR under 1,700 euros RRP. The carbon models of the RR and XR series range between approximately 2,500 and 4,200 euros RRP.
| Price segment | Approximate price range (manufacturer) | Typical categories | What to look out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry-level and junior | Approx. 400 to 1,000 euros | Children's bikes, trekking bikes like BLOX, simple hardtails | Suitable size, ease of use, everyday equipment |
| Sporty entry-level | Approx. 1,000 to 2,500 euros | Aluminum gravel bikes, XC hardtails, entry-level road bikes | Frame material, fork, and brakes as well as the groupset |
| Ambitious sport | Approx. 2,500 to 6,000 euros | Carbon road bikes and gravel bikes, XF full-suspension bikes, e-bikes | Only compare similar concepts with the same level of equipment |
| High-End | Over 6,000 to around 10,000 euros | Cross-country full-suspension bikes with carbon wheels and electronic shifting, light e-MTBs | What benefits the more expensive components actually provide you |
| XP and XC | MTB Hardtail | Sporty forest trails, training, cross-country | Riders who prefer a direct ride feel and simple technology |
| eXF, iXF, eXP, iXP, iXR, eBLOX, iBLOX | E-Bike | Off-road, gravel, touring and daily use with motor assistance | Riders looking for support on hills or with luggage |
| F.L.Y., Racer, Team Junior | Kids' and youth bike | First tours and sporty family outings | Children and teenagers; height and easily accessible brake levers are the decisive factors |
Brand names alone are not enough for an evaluation. For two comparable bicycles, write down the exact specifications of the drivetrain, wheels, and brakes, and check which components actually belong to the advertised groupset. On a limited budget, the right geometry and the equipment necessary for your intended use take priority over an especially expensive rear derailleur. For discounted models, it is best to first check the frame size, followed by the model year and equipment. A high discount is not a good reason to accept an unsuitable riding position. Use the size and price filters above to narrow down your selection, and then compare two or three suitable models directly.

Which Superior models are available at Liquid-Life?
With us, you will find RR-series road bikes, XR-series gravel bikes, and BLOX-series trekking bikes. You can see the currently available models and sizes in the product overview on this page.
What frame size do I need for Superior?
First, use the size chart for the specific model and compare it with your body height and inseam. Trekking bikes like the BLOX are available in letter sizes, while road bikes and gravel bikes are sized in centimeters. Therefore, a size M cannot be transferred from a trekking bike to a road bike without checking.
If you are between two sizes, additionally compare the geometry data and, if possible, arrange a test ride. Check whether you can reach the handlebars in a relaxed manner and move freely on the bike. Superior also points out that size recommendations cover typical body proportions and do not replace trying out the bike. For a consultation, it is best to bring the full model name and your body measurements with you.
