FLOATING AXLE
While thru-axles look like other axles, they offer a significant performance advantage due to their unique ability to precisely match the width of the fork wheel mounting surface to the front hub flange spacing, creating perfect chassis alignment and eliminating unwanted friction between the upper and lower fork legs. Oscillating axles provide a much smoother suspension movement throughout the fork's travel, specifically improving sensitivity and overall ride quality.

The all-new 36 and 38 feature a new, patent-pending, lever-operated quick-release thru-axle system that combines the benefits of a floating axle with the ease of fast, tool-free removal. This system locks the spacing via a floating sleeve, allowing for repeated removal and installation of the front wheel while maintaining perfect fork alignment. The floating sleeve positioning is preset at the factory, so if you don't know how to use a thru-axle or simply don't want to worry about it, you can simply install the front wheel and ride.

Available as an option is the new Kabolt-X, a lightweight, bolt-on thru-axle exclusive to the all-new 36 and 38 models. It not only reduces weight but also increases torsional rigidity thanks to its single-sided, sleeveless clamp-bolt design. The chassis alignment must be readjusted each time the front wheel is removed and reinstalled on Kabolt-X and 40 swing axles, but the end result is the same: perfect alignment and perfect performance.

LOWER LEG BYPASS CHANNELS

When a fork compresses, the air volume in the lower legs decreases, increasing air pressure. The more the fork compresses, the more the pressure increases. This effect can have the unintended consequence of not achieving full displacement. Our lower leg channels help alleviate this problem by dramatically increasing the air volume in the lower legs, thus reducing the amount of unintended additional pressure increases.

Another benefit of these channels is that oil flows from the lower fork legs through the upper one, continuously lubricating the rings and foam rings as the fork is extended and retracted throughout its stroke.

BLOWER
Our pressure relief valves provide atmospheric pressure equalization at the touch of a button. Pressure buildup in the lower fork legs dramatically reduces fork performance, prevents full travel, and reduces sensitivity and responsiveness to small bumps.

Our all-new lower leg design pulls out all the stops, shaving every possible gram and ensuring the stiffness or strength requirements of modern enduro and gravity riding aren't compromised.

Modern frame designs and geometry trends require modern suspension design solutions. The arch design of the all-new 36, 38, and 40 is engineered to perfectly match modern enduro and downhill bikes. Head tube profiles have been steadily increasing, and fork offsets have been shortening. Our new arch shape addresses this need by projecting forward to provide sufficient head tube clearance at full compression. Cutting-edge computer modeling techniques helped us create an organic lower leg shape that optimizes stiffness with an absolute minimum amount of material.

ELLIPTICAL STEERER
The 38's elliptical head tube is one of the many ways we've further optimized the stiffness-to-weight ratio by placing more material only where it's needed and eliminating every gram where it's not.

SWIMMER DEVELOPMENT
EVOL technology increases the volume of the negative air spring and optimizes small-bump sensitivity. EVOL's linear spring curve provides softness from the top, additional support in the middle of the travel, and a more tunable progression down the travel.

The benefits of EVOL are further enhanced by our new lower leg channels and vents, both of which help reduce air pressure trapped in the lower legs, allowing the EVOL air spring to operate freely without unintended interference.
