The Chisel Comp is the lightest and fastest full-suspension cross-country bike ever. It's 18.4% lighter than its nearest competitor and delivers noticeably brutal performance. Thanks to the advanced kinematics and geometry of the Epic 8, combined with innovative D'Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders can push their limits on speed metal between tape runs or simply have an incredibly good time on their local trails.
SPEED METAL: D'Aluisio Smartweld gives the Chisel not only its low weight, but also its unparalleled handling and ride quality. Each aluminum tube is specifically shaped for its position in the frame and has varying wall thicknesses. This allows us to precisely control stiffness and compliance for efficiency, comfort, and control.
PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: The Chisel, with 110mm of rear travel and Ride Dynamics Tune, is related to the Epic 8, our World Cup race machine. It shares performance features like advanced kinematics, Ride Dynamics Tune suspension, and progressive, World Cup-honed geometry. The Chisel effortlessly tackles varied terrain, inspiring confidence so riders can shred.
POWER METAL: Thanks to the geometry and kinematics of our World Cup-winning Epic 8, the Chisel surprises with incredible pedaling efficiency. This makes it the most efficient full-suspension aluminum XC bike. The steep seat angle positions the rider centrally on the bike for optimal power transfer, and the perfected anti-aquat system reduces pedal kickback. The Chisel converts every watt at the pedals into maximum acceleration.
GROOVE METAL: We've given the Chisel flexible stays for maximum suspension performance. This, combined with the D'Aluisio Smartweld design and its weight savings, dramatically reduces rear suspension maintenance. Extensive field and lab tests have shown that the Chisel has achieved the seemingly impossible. While Flex Stays have primarily been reserved for carbon bikes until now, the Chisel, with its specially shaped aluminum, easily rivals them in terms of efficiency, control, and low weight.
NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel boasts a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the rocker pivot, the main pivot, and, truly innovatively, the bottom bracket shell. This saves us additional material and weight compared to a traditional bike where pivots and bottom bracket shells are welded onto the seat tube.
