The innovations on the Firebird 2025 are not simple tuning measures
chassis
The Pro and Team versions are equipped with the new Fox Factory Float X2 shock (model year 2026), which offers a whopping 165 mm of travel at the rear, and a Fox Factory 38 Grip X2 fork, which provides 170 mm of travel at the front.
The Ride Level models currently come (for a limited time) with the 2025 Fox Factory Float X2 shock with 165 mm of travel at the rear and a Fox Performance 38 Grip fork with 170 mm of travel at the front.
The innovative Fox Live Valve NEO Coil shock and the wireless NEO seat post are available as upgrades exclusively for Pro and Team versions.
DW-Link rear triangle

Adjustable chainstay lengths
Thanks to the patented Swinger® dropout system, you can adjust the chainstay length by 8 mm—fully compatible with UDH and SRAM transmissions. A short setting is ideal for agile maneuvers and tight corners, while a long setting provides maximum stability at high speeds. Experience both worlds with the Firebird.
Flip-chip for geometry adjustment
Easily adjust your setup using the Pivot Flip-Chip:
- for technical and rocky trails
- for speed and control on fast descents
You also have the choice between a pure 29" setup or a mixed mullet configuration. The mullet setup combines maneuverability with stability and good rollover behavior – ideal for challenging terrain.
Frame size XS is only available in the Mullet version and not with 29" rear wheels
Flip-chip for progressivity adjustment
Customize the progressivity of your rear end – compatible with air and coil dampers:
- 31.8% (0–100% travel) | 15.6% at 30% SAG

New 35 mm rise handlebar & enduro stem
The Phoenix Team Carbon handlebar with a 35 mm rise offers an ideal combination of strength, stiffness, and vibration dampening thanks to its special carbon layup. The improved riding position provides more comfort and control on long, challenging descents. Standard on Pro and Team models (M–XL).
The matching Phoenix Team Enduro V2 stem boasts a modern design, increased stiffness, and an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It's available in 32 mm (XS), 40 mm (S-L), and 50 mm (XL) lengths, each with a 7° rise for optimal ergonomics and control during aggressive riding.
Various headset configurations
The Firebird features a tall, straight head tube and is compatible with 56 mm ID headsets (ZS56/ZS56). It also supports aftermarket headsets for reach and head angle adjustment to create your ideal setup.
With a ±5 mm reach headset and five different frame sizes, the reach can be precisely adjusted between 400 mm (XS, Mullet, Low) and 514 mm (XL, 29", High).
Pivot's own "Ride Tuning"
Available in sizes XS to XL for riders from 1.50 m to over 1.98 m tall. Each frame undergoes independent strength and weight optimization for consistent peak performance. Thanks to a custom-tuned carbon layup, each frame size offers perfect handling characteristics – for every rider profile.
