All information about the Santa Cruz V10.7 2019

29-inch V10.7

After three 29-inch V10 prototypes caused a stir at the beginning of 2017 and were then extensively tested in the World Cup, everyone was just waiting for the big reveal: The 27.5-inch version had already been seen several times with Greg Minnaar, Loris Vergier and Luca Shaw.

The new V10 rolls on 29" and 27.5" wheels

But why did it take almost two years before the result could be presented to the public? The specialists from California would certainly have brought a new downhiller with 29 and 27.5 inch wheels to series production in a much shorter time.

Other manufacturers have shown us how it's done, and wheel sizes are dividing the downhill world. Those who like to ride at the limit, who need a bike that can easily iron out the bigger edges, who want to get the last 100th of a second out of the bike, will certainly find themselves on the 29-inch wheel. On the other hand, those who prefer something more playful, prefer the flowing descent in the bike park to the wild hacking, and still have enough time to react to obstacles with spontaneous maneuvers while riding, will probably enjoy the maneuverability of the 27.5-inch version. All of this with 205mm suspension travel at the front and 215mm at the rear. Still sounds like a relatively normal bike.

The real highlight of the new V10s, which both have a completely unique concept, is the variability of the bikes. Apart from the frame and wheel size, pretty much everything on the V10 is customizable. "Puzzling Ain't easy" is what Santa Cruz writes about the new bikes. And that's probably why development took so long. But from 2019, there will also be two completely new downhill concepts in the store.

In addition to the bottom bracket height, the new V10 also allows you to adjust the chainstay length, shock position, reach, steering angle and wheelbase. Your V10 becomes one with you!

Overall, the most successful bike in downhill history has become even more modern and theoretically leaves nothing to be desired. The reach is significantly longer, while the stack is much flatter. Greg, Luca and Loris have proven that the bikes work and we are excited to see the first test bike on our way.
