We have to admit that we hadn't really been involved with triathlon, especially on an international level, until Claudius approached us with a request for cooperation. BUT we know how to make triathlon bikes and Claudius' request sounded so likeable, ambitious and yet somehow totally down to earth that we said "we have to get to know him!"
No sooner said than done, and so it happened that Claudius picked up his new Cube Aerium C:68 from us last Thursday. So the training can begin, the 5-year plan is in place and yes, the Ironman in Hawaii is also part of this plan.
But now to the athlete himself:
In 1995, at the age of 22, Claudius decided to buy a racing bike overnight - a steel frame, frame gears and some other technical refinements that were extremely modern at the time paved the way for him into the supreme discipline of endurance sports. He can now look back on over 100 victories in various competitions. His CV includes several world championship titles in triathlon and duathlon, top ten placings in long distances and in the Ironman and victories in German and Hesse championships.
After taking a 10-year family-related break from triathlon in 2008, writing a book and keeping fit in other ways, the deputy sales manager returned to the sport in June 2018. Thanks to his experience and ambition, he has already achieved top placings and victories.
We will also benefit from his know-how in sports science, training, etc. in the future. Especially when we are able to invite experts to events in view of the opening of the Premium Bike & E-Bike Store in 2019. Since bike fitting is extremely popular in the triathlon sector, you will certainly meet him there too.
We are looking forward to a great time with our Liquid-Life Hero Claudius.
