Und das zu einem unsagbar günstigen Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Trotzdem wurden bei Haltbarkeit und Funktionalität keine Abstriche gemacht und die langjährige Erfahrung der Japaner sieht man in jedem Detail.
Die Shimano Hyperglide Kassetten haben mit ihrem sanften Hoch- und Herunterschalten im gesamten Übersetzungsumfang neue Maßstäbe im Off-Road-Einsatz gesetzt. Für die 105er Gruppe haben die Japaner diese Technologie auch für den Rennrad-Einsatz übernommen. Selbst bei höchstem Krafteinsatz in Anstiegen oder beim Sprint zur Ziellinie kann nun bedenkenlos geschaltet werden. Möglich machen das unter anderem längere Zähne. Trotz der neuen Konstruktion und dem zusätzlichen 12. Ritzel sind die CS-R7101 Kassetten auch mit bisherigen 11-fach Shimano Road Freilaufkörpern kompatibel.
