Ergon BT Road

The Ergon BT Road is the ideal road bike handlebar tape for the road. It has to do a lot: it reduces discomfort, feels great, provides a secure grip, and yet maintains a crisp, direct feel. With a thickness of 2 mm and a fine, straight surface texture, the Ergon BT Road offers all road cyclists precisely this all-in-one solution. Pressure on the hands is reduced, vibrations and shocks are dampened, and riding enjoyment and performance are noticeably increased. The bar tape can be wrapped thinner or thicker, with more or less grip, according to individual preferences – a wrapping aid is integrated.

Highlights

• Reduces hand discomfort and vibrations
• Direct driving feel, adapted freedom of movement
• Less fatigue, more driving pleasure and performance

Features

• Reduces typical road cycling discomfort: A low, stretched-out riding position, saddle-to-bar drop, relatively hard cockpits, and high, localized pressure on the sensitive nerves of the hand and wrist – these often lead to problems in road cycling. Ergon handlebar tape reduces these issues.
• Hand discomfort and nerve irritation. Their adapted thickness and special material composition with AirCell Foam noticeably dampen vibrations and distribute pressure on the hands more effectively.
• A crisp, direct feel: With the 2 mm thin BT Road handlebar tape, road cyclists benefit from optimal freedom of movement and a typical road bike feel. At the same time, the increased comfort is clearly noticeable. The reduced effort required to steer the bike means your hands tire less, even on longer rides. This handlebar tape simply feels good, enhances riding enjoyment, and improves performance.
• Quick grip changes in every situation: The BT Road is not only the perfect individual connection between hand, road bike and road surface. The fine, straight texture of the comfortable handlebar tape also enables smooth, quick grip changes in every riding situation.
• Three layers for perfect grip – slip-resistant, lightweight, less pressure: Ergon handlebar tape consists of three precisely coordinated layers of material. The water-repellent anti-

• Resilience and optimal pressure distribution at a low weight.
• Individual fine-tuning – Integrated wrapping aid makes it easy: With the integrated wrapping aid, the handlebar tape on the racing bike can easily be fine-tuned to your personal preference – you decide whether you prefer it to be a little thinner or a little thicker.
• Two directions – more grip or more freedom of movement? Both sides of the bar tape can form the surface. The wrapping direction allows you to individually prioritize either more grip or more freedom of movement.
• Extra comfort for an extra boost – upgrade with the BT OrthoCell® Pad Set (optional): For those who want even more comfort on their road bike handlebars, Ergon has developed the 4-piece BT OrthoCell® Pad Set. The pads, made of high-performance orthopedic foam, can be optionally placed under the handlebar tape and significantly increase comfort. The high-end OrthoCell® material, developed entirely in Germany, relieves pressure on hands and wrists in every grip position.
