SRAM Ochain AM R Spider Sram 8 Bolt

From fast downhill runs to all-day trail rides: the Ochain R will provide you with a new level of control and suspension efficiency.
The SRAM Ochain R allows the chainring to rotate backwards by up to 12° depending on the setting, without pulling on the crank. Thanks to this decoupling of the suspension, responsiveness is optimized, pedal kickback caused by chain tension is virtually eliminated, and traction while braking and cornering is noticeably increased. In addition to the advantages in ride dynamics, Ochain also reduces chain slap to a minimum. This means you will also have a very quiet ride on your way down to the valley.
Thanks to the Ochain R's external adjustment option, you can adjust the free play to your optimal setting at any time with just a flick of the wrist.
The following settings are possible:
- 0°: Lock position – ideal for direct comparisons
- 3°: XC/Trail – ideal for smooth, firm trails, flowy compressions, and few braking bumps
- 6°: Trail/Enduro – ideal for medium terrain with rocks, roots, and moderate braking bumps
- 9°: Enduro/Bike Park/DH – ideal for rough trails with many rocks, roots, and constant braking bumps
- 12°: Bike Park/DH – ideal for extremely rough, loose terrain with large compressions and an increased risk of damage to wheels and tires
In summary, it can be said that for rides with a lot of pedaling, less free play (3–6°) is recommended. For bike park and fast downhill use, 9–12° is intended.
Depending on the crank used, different chainlines result. With a standard DUB spindle, you have a 52 mm chainline. Using the DUB Wide spindle results in 55 mm, and with SRAM's DUB DH spindle, you achieve a chainline of 56.5 mm.
- Allows up to 12 degrees of rotation on the spider, thereby reducing the effects of chain growth that impact the rider's feet. This results in a ride feel as if you were riding without a chain
- Reduces the negative effects of chain growth on suspension performance
- Ochain R is externally adjustable to 4, 6, 9, and 12 degrees of rotation, helping the rider optimize the balance between spider rotation and pedaling efficiency
- New Easy-System adjuster
- Requires a 104 BCD chainring. Suitable for chainrings with 32–36 teeth
- Chainring bolts are sold separately
