UPGRADES & MATCHING ACCESSORIES
Shimano chain CN-HG54 10-speed
The chain transfers the power from the chainring to the sprocket of the rear wheel hub. It is exposed to extreme stress and weather influences. Chains lengthen at different rates depending on usage conditions, but each needs to be replaced sooner or later. Replacing the chain in a timely manner is the only way to protect chainrings and sprockets from excessive wear. In order to get the best possible functional performance from the Shimano HyperDrive system, it is important to use original Shimano HG chains.
The completely new, directional 10-speed HG-X chain specifically for mountain bikes is the next evolutionary step in shifting technology. This chain shifts more smoothly, saves weight and increases overall system performance. HG-X chain with directional binding: The right side is optimized for shifting at the front, the left for rear. Used on: XTR/DEORE XT/SLX
- Improved wear resistance through chrome plating of the bolts
- Directional chain improves shifting precision
