Shimano DEORE XT CS-M8100 12-speed cassette
The Shimano Deore XT M8100 12-speed cassette saves weight thanks to its Beam Spider construction and adds another gear to Shimano's MTB drivetrains. Featuring Shimano's new Micro Spline freehub body and Hyperglide+ tooth profile, these 10-51T cassettes ensure high-quality shifting performance.
Features
- Improved shifting performance – new shift aids with Hyperglide+ technology ensure the fastest and most comfortable shifting possible.
- lighter and more robust construction
- Reduces cassette inertia, resulting in faster acceleration and better chain guidance.
Technologies
- Hyperglide+: A completely redesigned drivetrain with a specially developed chain enables faster shifting, efficient power transfer and unprecedented chain stability; helps riders confidently master rough terrain – dampens pedal shock and reduces shifting times by a third (compared to the current HG system)
- Beam Spider construction: lighter and more robust design; reduces cassette inertia, resulting in faster acceleration and improved chain retention.
- Micro Spline: The new 12-speed cassettes necessitated an adjustment to the cassette hub to accommodate the new cassettes and the smaller 10-tooth sprocket; a stiffer connection with 23 equally spaced splines arranged at a sawtooth angle; cassette hub body made of aluminum
