Der Assegai ist der ultimative Downhillreifen, welcher vom ehemaligen Abfahrts-Weltmeister Greg Minnaar mitentwickelt wurde. Er hat dort seine ganze langjährige Erfahrung im Rennsport mit einfließen lassen. Die Grundidee dahinter war, aus bereits bekannten Maxxis-Profilen das Beste herauszuholen. In die Mitte der Lauffläche wurden die gutlaufenden Stollen vom Minion DHF und Minion DHR II implementiert.
Das gibt ein ausgezeichnetes Abrollen auf harten Untergründen, aber auch Grip auf nassen Wurzeln und Steinen. Um schnelle Kurven kümmern sich leicht umgeformte Seitenstollen des HighRollers. Mit diesen hast Du einen klar definierten Grenzbereich und jederzeit genügend Reserven. Als letztes gibt noch der Shorty seine Profilhöhe dazu und sorgt auch auf tiefen Waldböden für ausreichend Traktion. Mit diesem intelligenten Mix kannst Du es dann richtig krachen lassen.
