The Continental X-King ProTection is one of the most popular tires in the MTB sector. It is found in XC, Marathon, Trail and even Enduro. The ProTection version offers the flagship Black Chilli Compound, which combines durability, abrasion resistance, low rolling resistance and incredible grip.
The Continental X-King ProTection features Tubeless Ready technology, which allows for weight reduction, greater puncture resistance and driving at lower pressure, increasing the contact area between the tire and the ground.
Another remarkable feature of the X-King ProTection is the tread. The directional tread blocks ensure low rolling resistance and grip in almost all conditions. The versatility of the Continental Cross King ProTection is influenced, among other things, by the optimal height of the tread blocks, so that the tire does not dig into the sand. In addition, the large spaces between the blocks allow the tire to slide easily through the mud in wet conditions.
