Die GVolt100 ist mit einem dreistufigen-Batterieindikator ausgestattet zur genauen Bestimmung der Restlaufzeit. Die homogene Ausleuchtung lässt sich in drei Stufen regeln. 100 Lux, 60 Lux 10 Lux. Durch Doppel-Klick wechselt die Lampe in den hellsten Modus. Über die Mode-Memory-funktion kehrt die Lampe beim Anschalten in den zuletzt gewählten Modus. Die Cartridge Batterie kann über einen USB-Port innerhalb von 3.5 Stunden komplett aufgeladen werden und leuchtet für 15 Stunden im 10 Lux Modus. Neben der für alle Fahrradlenker optimierte FlexTight™ Halterung ist es auch möglich, die GVolt100 an Out-Front Halterungen zu befestigen, alternativ ist mit einem separaten Adapter auch die Befestigung an GoPro-Mounts möglich.
Die von Cateye neu entwickelte Opticube-Linse macht es möglich, eine sehr homogene Lichtverteilung mit herausragenden 100 Lux Leuchtkraft zu erreichen. Die großflächige Ausleuchtung im Nah- und Fernbereich erfasst das Umfeld weit über die Fahrbahn hinaus, auch bei kurvigen Abschnitten. Eine hohe Sichtbarkeit von der Seite wird durch die konvexe Oberfläche der Opticube-Linse ermöglicht, ein weiteres Feature das zur Sicherheit des Fahrers beiträgt.
