Alpina Carapax Jr.
Like its big brother: the Alpina Carapax Jr. is inspired by the adult model and promises optimal off-road protection for all young mountain bikers. The low weight, maximum head coverage and a long list of features give it an optimal price/performance ratio. The low weight is achieved through in-mold manufacturing, in which the upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS. This results in a solid surface connection, which is responsible for a very stable construction.
The lower edge of the helmet is protected by the additional Edge Protect polycarbonate shell. In addition, the rear and temples are pulled further down for the highest possible safety on rough trails. This creates even greater head coverage. Large ventilation openings ensure optimal ventilation, fly screens keep insects away from the head, and the visor guarantees optimal protection in the field of vision.
With the Run System Classic, which is combined with the height-adjustable Custom Fit, the bicycle helmet can be adjusted to the head. The Carapax Jr. can optionally be retrofitted with the Multi-Fit Light rear light for better visibility.
- Ceramic Shell: break- and scratch-resistant polycarbonate shell; UV-stable and antistatic
- In-Mold Tec: the inner shell is foamed under the outer shell under high pressure and high heat; significantly better ventilation systems and ventilation openings possible; lighter helmet
- Hi-EPS: Inner shell is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene); despite optimal protection, ensures extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes
- Edge Protect: reinforcement attached to the lower edges of the helmet; additional safety in the event of a side impact and protection against damage in everyday use
