Installation: screw on or adapter?
Most city bikes and trekking bikes come with fender mounts from the factory, which allow for easy installation. It is attached with screws; all you need is the right tools and a little manual skills. Mounting mudguards on mountain bikes is a little different. Special screw eyes are often missing here. But there's no reason to panic: We of course have mudguards that can be attached to the bike using a mounting adapter. A big advantage of the adapter is that you can remove the mudguards from the bike in just a few seconds when you are not using them.
The so-called mudguards are a special type of mudguard. In contrast to the conventional front mud flap, which is fixed to the fork, the mudguards are attached to the down tube using cable ties. This unusual type of mudguard is primarily used in downhill sports. Even on the muddiest descents, mudguards ensure a clear view and good protection for the driver.
