Nach vorne gedacht und doch voll rückwärts kompatibel ist die DUB™-Tretlager-/Kurbeltechnologie ein Arbeitstier, das nie aufgibt. Entworfen für die anspruchsvollsten Profifahrer und für alle, die sich nach dem Einbau um nichts mehr kümmern wollen. DUB™ ist mit allen gängigen Tretlagerstandards kompatibel. Das System hat eine bessere Dichtung als je zuvor und passt trotzdem in jeden Rahmen. Gleichzeitig ebnet es den Weg für eine neuartige Kurbelachse und damit den bisher weltweit leichtesten Kurbelsatz. Es ist ein neuer Ansatz, der das Alte mit einbezieht. Wurde auch langsam Zeit.
Nach langer Forschungsarbeit vereinheitlicht Sram ab 2018 den Durchmesser von Bike-Kurbelwellen und –Innenlagern auf 28,99mm. Die neue Lagertechnologie DUB (Durable Unifying Bottom Bracket) setzt von nun an neue Maßstäbe.
