Specialized Tarmac SL7 Sport White/Metallic Dark Navy 2026 | Road Bike
- Aerodynamics were at the forefront of the Tarmac's development, as with all our road bikes, but weight always remains the co-pilot on this journey to the ultimate racing machine. In the past, aero bikes always involved compromises in weight—to reduce drag, material had to be added in critical areas. With the Tarmac SL7, we had only one goal in mind: to keep the weight at or below the UCI weight limit without making any sacrifices in aerodynamics. Using the FreeFoil Shape Library, isotopic finite element analysis (FEA), and a touch of ingenuity from the best engineers in the industry, we achieved just that. The FACT 9r carbon frame weighs just 1010g while making no compromises in aero, stiffness, or ride quality.
- In our quest to develop the perfect road bike, we applied our Rider-First Engineered™ philosophy to ensure that the new Tarmac is the most balanced and best-handling Tarmac yet, regardless of frame size. With a group of top athletes from our three World Tour teams—SD Worx, Soudal Quick-Step, and Bora-hansgrohe—we made changes to the Tarmac based on their experience from thousands of kilometers on the road. We balanced the ride quality between the front and rear wheels so that even the longest days in the saddle remain comfortable, without sacrificing the Tarmac's legendary handling and race-bred speed.
- Building on the knowledge gained from developing the Venge, the Tarmac SL7 utilizes simple integrations to provide a clean and, above all, fast cockpit. We have improved the cable routing for every component configuration—mechanical shifters, traditional stems, round handlebars, etc.—while maintaining aerodynamic properties. These same features also make the Tarmac SL7 easier to service and travel with from race to race.
