Now, the Roubaix SL8 is equipped with SRAM’s new Rival AXS groupset – for less weight, effortless braking, and faster, more precise shifting.
- COMFORT: Future Shock 3.0 is at the heart of the bike, more tunable, adjustable, and durable than ever before. Regardless of the rider's position, everyone benefits from 20mm of smooth, friction-free travel between the stem and head tube. Future Shock keeps the hands and handlebars stable, providing a smoother ride with more control so you can ride fast, safely, and with confidence.
- Our dropped clamp design exposes more of the seatpost, allowing for more flex – but more is not automatically better. The Pavé seatpost controls this flexibility and ensures optimal vertical compliance. Together, they form AfterShock technology and, in combination with the Roubaix’s stiff rear triangle, allow for a smooth ride without sacrificing efficiency.
- The Roubaix SL8 is the most comfortable road bike our Ride Science team has ever tested. Impacts at the handlebars and saddle are reduced by 53% compared to the next-best competitor. Thanks to Future Shock 3.0, the wheel moves quickly over bumps while the rider’s mass remains stable, maintaining momentum on rough terrain. - PERFORMANCE: The new Roubaix SL8 is our most aerodynamic Roubaix to date. New aero shapes from our Free Foil library and dropped seatstays optimize aerodynamics. At just 950 grams, the frame is lighter and benefits from insights gained during the development of the Aethos – the world’s lightest production frame – as well as our FACT 10r carbon layup.
