Für die anliegenden höheren Drehmomente und für Alltagsfahrer, die über lange Zeiträume im gleichen Gang fahren, sind die Verschleißfestigkeit und Laufruhe nach langem Gebrauch von entscheidender Bedeutung. Diesen Anforderungen hat Shimano bei der Entwicklung der Linkglide Komponenten Rechnung getragen. Sowohl an E-Bikes als auch an Alltagsrädern erlauben die speziell verstärkten und optimierten Komponenten über Jahre hinweg sanfte Schaltvorgänge für ein stressfreies Fahrerlebnis.
Der M8130 Schalthebel sorgt für leichtgängige und reaktionsschnelle Schaltvorgänge. Die Ergonomie der bewährten Rapidfire Plus Bauweise wird seit vielen Generationen von Mountainbikern geschätzt. Angepasst für die höheren Kräfte am E-Bike lassen sich bis zu 2 Schaltstufen mit einem Schalthub zurückschalten. Dank 2-Way Release kann wahlweise per Daumen oder Zeigefinger in einem schnelleren Gang geschaltet werden.
