All three systems have a central motor in common. The very easy to handle system is characterized by continuous strength even under high load or sporty acceleration and a bear-strong torque of 75 Newton meters.
High in the favor of sporty e-mountain bikers is also the new Yamaha PW-X engine. Compared to its predecessor, the PW-X has smaller dimensions and a lower weight. With a torque of 80 Newton meters, no uphill can be steep enough for the Yamaha PW-X motor! Shimano also offers with the Steps E8000 a drive system specifically for e-mountain bikes. The innovative, lightweight system convinces with pedal efficiency and a direct pedaling feel. Core thrust is guaranteed thanks to 70 Nm of torque. Both the Yamaha PW-X and the Shimano Steps E8000 drive are based on a mid-mounted motor.
