The frame material influences the weight and stability of the e-mountain bike. Aluminum frames are light and robust, while carbon frames are even lighter and stiffer, but also more expensive. Titanium frames offer an excellent combination of lightness and durability.

The suspension system is particularly important for E-MTB full suspension bikes. High-quality shock absorbers and suspension forks ensure better control and more comfort. The suspension travel should be tailored to your preferred terrain.

High-quality gearshift and braking systems are essential for a safe and pleasant driving experience. Precise gear changes and reliable brakes are particularly important in challenging terrain.

The choice of the right tires depends on the intended use. Wide tires with a coarse profile offer more grip on the terrain, while narrower tires are more efficient on paved paths. The wheel size also has to be differentiated; 29" tires offer more smoothness and speed, while 27.5" tires bring significantly more agility and playfulness. A mix of 27.5" at the rear and 29" at the front is called a "mullet" and combines the best of both worlds.
