From US start-up to global MTB brand

Founded by John Muenzenmeyer in Michigan, Nukeproof set standards early on with innovative materials such as carbon and titanium. The brand became particularly well-known for its high-end hubs and components – developed for the demands of the emerging mountain bike sport of the 90s.

Relaunch & racing focus

Following its realignment in 2004, Nukeproof was rebuilt in Northern Ireland – with a clear focus on racing. The first bike to attract worldwide attention was the legendary Mega – developed for the Megavalanche and a key factor in the creation of the modern enduro segment.
