With just one shifter, you no longer need to worry about the right gear combination. You can simply concentrate on riding and intuitively shift through the 11 gears. In combination with the Apex 1 11-42 cassette, the 1x drivetrain offers a gear range comparable to a 2x drivetrain with an 11-28 cassette. Therefore, even the steepest climbs are no problem with the Apex 1 groupset.
