A major innovation compared to previous Di2 versions is the elimination of the central power supply. This eliminates the need for cumbersome wiring, significantly simplifying installation.
The small 305 mAh battery is inserted directly into the derailleur. There it sits invisibly, securely, and discreetly supplies the necessary power. Despite the waterproof compartment, removal for charging is quick and easy.
