Our responsibility: special attention to the youngest customers

. The preparation for the safe control of a bicycle begins long before the purchase of the first real children's bike. Children practice estimating their own speed, observing their surroundings and, of course, body control with their very first play vehicles. This is exactly why we also place value on a high-quality range and expert advice in this area.

The correct order: First four wheels, then three, then two
. In many families, a so-called slide vehicle makes children's eyes light up on their first birthday. With the Pukylino or the S'Cool Pedex First, for example, even the very youngest can move intuitively. A training program is completely unnecessary. Parents only need to ensure a safe environment without stairs or even road traffic.

The next step is often the tricycle, with which boys and girls get used to pedaling in no time. Some models can even be used as a buggy replacement. For example, if the rider can easily make his or her own way to the playground, but is overcome by tiredness on the way back. Thanks to high backrest, seat belt, automatic freewheel and handy push bar, adults and children arrive home comfortably, safely and well rested.

The closest thing to the "real" bike is the running bike, which is now also available for children as young as two years old. The combination of running and rolling trains balance and, above all, is great fun. The models from Puky and S'Cool impress with their child-friendly ergonomics and equipment. These include a lightweight frame with low entry and a height-adjustable wheel saddle. Over time, walking is replaced by longer and longer gliding phases: Children lift their legs off the ground, but remain ready to brake at all times. The very brave then also like to place their feet on the footboard in the middle of the frame. Or practice the next step: braking with a child-friendly rear brake.

The recommendation: First the scooter, then the bike
. Despite all the enthusiasm for the wheel, educators and medical professionals agree that nothing prepares children for cycling better than practicing with a scooter. Standing on one leg trains the sense of balance even better than on a running bike. When standing, children also need more body tension than when sitting, and they also train their leg muscles. At the same time, the posture gives them a good overview of their surroundings. We therefore advise you not to forego the scooter phase, even if your child would prefer to switch from the running bike to the "real" bike straight away. Optimal for training coordination and body control are the well-designed scooters from Puky. The German manufacturer stands for quality and a high safety standard. The models are therefore all equipped with handlebar pads and safety handlebar grips and high-quality foam or pneumatic tires.

The Go-Cart: pedals, chain and four wheels
. Although we are primarily a bike store, our program also includes these much-loved children's vehicles: go-carts that train strength and endurance and feel a bit like little race cars. Of course, this includes being able to switch back and forth between forward gear, reverse gear and freewheel. Adjustable hard-shell seat and handbrake are also an absolute must. Ball bearing wheels with pneumatic tires also ensure special driving comfort. Which design is right for a junior racer is best left to him - or her - to decide.

The icing on the cake: Cheerful children's accessories

. Of course, each and every one of our picture-perfect, super cool or just insanely practical kids' vehicles can be made just that little bit more awesome with the right accessories. There is, for example, the sturdy, padded carrying strap, with which dad or mom can comfortably shoulder the running bike, if the offspring wants to run just cross-country through the meadow. Also very popular with parents: seat belt and footrest, if the child is to be pushed in the tricycle. The little riders themselves are particularly fond of the colored handlebar and luggage bags for running or tricycles. The not only look good, but also provide space for a cereal bar or a small hydration pack.
